with a passion to worship God,
who care for one another
and bring God’s love into a broken world”
Vineyard Groningen is an international church with people from all over the world, as we’ve also noticed at the New To Church lunch. What binds us together is not only the English language, which for most of us is our second or even third language, but more so; the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We welcome people from any background in our united pursuit to know God intimately, follow Jesus radically and be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Our vision is: ‘building an international community of disciples of Jesus, with a passion to worship God, who care for one another and bring God’s love into a broken world.
ROWS & CIRCLES
Our church meets in ROWS and in CIRCLES. On Sunday morning, we gather in rows to worship God, listen to a message from the Bible made relevant for our everyday life and pray. The service takes about 1.5 hours and afterwards there is time for coffee or tea. We dismiss the children after the first two songs for their own exciting program with worship, a talk, small group discussion, crafts and games. We celebrate communion every first Sunday of the month and have a fellowship lunch every fourth Sunday of the month.
On week days, our church meets in circles in our home groups (day, time and location is different per group). The home groups focus on three things: fellowship, Bible study and prayer. We encourage everyone to participate in one of our home groups. This is where we can grow deeper in our relationship with God and care for each other.
VINEYARD VISION COURSE
Did you know that Vineyard is a worldwide network of churches that share the same beliefs and values? At our Vision Course, which is offered about three times a year, you will be able to discover more about our vision and values and really understand what we are about as a church. It will give you better insight into how you can really make Vineyard Groningen your home church.
