Key verses: Romans 8:37-39

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In this final passage of Romans 8, Paul brings everything he has been working out in the letter so far to a conclusion pointing to the assurance we have in the unfailing love of God in Christ, and there is nothing that can take it away from us.

You and I are called to follow in the way of the Messiah, a way that includes suffering and sacrifice, like sheep to be slaughtered, following the lamb that was slain.

But in this, we share in the victory. We are not merely survivors, but conquerors.

As we have died with Christ and rose to a new life with Christ, so we are now co-heirs with Christ meaning we share in His suffering and in His victory.

In our lives we may go through crises and struggles, but there is

No one that could take away the promise of the resurrection in the new heavens and the new earth.

No one can deny you access from the throne room of God.

Nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ.
